Save-The-Date

We ordered our save-the-dates! Whew, that’s a relief! We must have looked at 500,000 before deciding on THE ONE. Wedding Paper Divas, Etsy for custom designs, Minted, Salutations in Ballantyne…. so.many.save.the.dates.  And then we had to decide on the pictures – and boy do I LOVE pictures. I mean, I have like 15,000 pictures on Facebook, and 175 albums, I LOVE pictures. And we have so many good ones between both of our engagement shoots. I prefer funny photos, whereas my love prefers serious ones that show off our love for each other. I can deal with that. So just before I left for Atlanta, we created our own Save-the-Date – which is a nice touch for two people who are creative – and we agreed on pictures (even if we did have to Facetime with the Best woMan for her opinion). They should be here in no time and we can take over the fridges in America… or approximately 90 fridges anyway. Definitely happy to check this task off our list of “to-do’s” for the wedding.

Ps… 7 months or 31 weeks and 2 days! That’s CRAZY! But who’s counting?

Baby in a Bowtie

Yesterday, amidst my last minute Christmas shopping, I stumbled over the most adorable dress for our three beautiful attendants to wear. Personally, if it came in my size, I’d be wearing it (probably not at the wedding, but at some function!).

Seriously, is that not the cutest thing ever? I LOVE the lace collar and the big bow in the back! Plus, the beige color is perfect for matching with the guys suits. Unfortunately, after many internet searches, I discovered that this dress only runs up to a 5T – and all of our girls are older (and larger) than that. Bummer – but at least now I have an idea of what I’d like for them to wear, so the search is on.

I also came upon this piece of adorableness yesterday:

bowtie

How stinkin’ cute is my nephew going to be decked out in a bowtie? And how perfect is it that it’s our colors for the wedding? Ahh, love it! His mommy loved it too. So game on, the bowtie has been purchased and put in a special “wedding items” container where I’m collecting things as I come across them.

We’re working on our save-the-dates and wedding website now… so stay tuned for more gorgeousness coming soon!

PS… 4 sleeps til Christmas!

Tough Decisions

I would like to order a bunch of different save-the-dates because I am terrible at picking JUST ONE. We were trying to finalize our invite list this morning and simultaneously looking at save-the-dates. I plan on sending these out after the holidays (don’t want any to get lost with all those holiday cards!).

A few weeks ago, we ordered samples of wedding invitations from Wedding Paper Divas to see if we picked any of the same ones. I thought that would be a cute way to decide on the invitation, however, I have more of a classical style and my groom is artsy-fartsy. We did find one that has a burlap design with a blue design… I mean, hello! It doesn’t get more perfect than that… luckily, we have a little while to decide on the invitations, response cards, menus?, and whatever else we have to order… but the save-the-dates are a little more immediate.

I have always loved magnet save-the-dates… something to keep it right there in people’s faces versus being put in a “junk drawer” and forgotten. I also HAVE to have a photo on the save-the-date … after all, we have just taken a million more adorable photos together, so we have to put them to good use.

Just two more weeks of classes for the both of us and then we have a few weeks to relax and wedding plan our little hearts out before Christmas, New Years and the start of our Spring semesters. Lots of decisions to be made… soon… but probably not today.
