  1. Ashleigh! Your day will be here so soon! I am so excited for you and can’t wait to see the beautiful results of all your planning and preparation! The best advice I received prior to our wedding day was to take a night (we chose the Tuesday night before our wedding) to go on a date with your beau and just soak up your last days of engagement. Don’t talk about anything “wedding/planning” related…just enjoy being y’all! BRS and I did this and I will always remember that sweet evening!
    Best wishes, my dear!
    xoxo, Madi

  2. Hi there, I’ve been reading your blog entries on wedding planning the last few days and I just realized that I bought the same wedding dress as you! It’s so gorgeous but it was sold out at j.crew so I had to purchase it online w/o having tried it on.

I’m wondering if that dress was true to size? Did you have to have to altered, etc? The dress I bought is a size 12, whereas I’m a size 6/8 in street clothes. I’m worried having it taken in so much will ruin the shape/look of the dress.. Any insight would be really appreciated! You’re the only other bride I’ve seen that wore this… Thanks so much!

    • Hi there! Congratulations on your engagement and your dress purchase. You are going to LOVE the Fleur! I am a size 2, and ordered an 8 (it was the only size left!). I did have to have it taken in but as you can see from the photos, it maintained it’s shape. I had the train removed, some of the extra fluff underneath removed and the neckline cut down a little more into a deeper sweetheart. The fabric is tricky with the rouching, so be prepared for some additional tacking as alterations are made. This dress does a great job of making your waist look super tiny and it’s so light and easy to move in! Please let me know if you have any additional questions – and thank you so much for reading the blog!
